Her first two dogs became “Field Champions”. In 1987 she co-founded Hightest Kennels, a well known, successful, all breed training and breeding kennel near Oroville CA. As a professional trainer for over 35 years, Debra has a wealth of experience and knowledge working with all breeds of dogs. Debra sold the kennel business in 2018 and moved to Chico where she continues to pursue her passion of teaching dogs and their owners how to work together as a team becoming totally in tune to each other. “I will never tire of seeing the joy in an owner’s face when their dog responds to them obediently and behaves in a way they never thought possible!” says Debra.
Baylie has been working with dogs all her life. She started training the cattle dogs on the ranch as a child and then working with hunting hounds in her teen years. She began working at Hightest Kennels in 2015 spending four years learning from Debra Folsom the caveats of professionally training all breed obedience and hunting retrievers. Baylie enjoys working with young dogs and puppies encouraging them to enjoy learning and develop their skills. She is excellent at instructing children as well as adults on how to handle their dogs to get the optimum results. The dog owners would always request Baylie to be their instructor when they came to visit the kennel to work with their dogs and were always pleased with the amount of progress she was able to achieve.
